“Ometz” the Israeli organization which advocates for good governance and social justice awarded Save a Child’s Heart with the Ometz Award in recognition of dedication to helping vulnerable people, at an award ceremony in Tel Aviv last night. In almost 20 years 3,500 children with heart disease from 48 developing countries have been saved.
Dr. Yitzhak Berlowitz, director of the Wolfson Medical Center and Attorney Mira Bornstein, a member of the Executive Board took to the stage to receive the award.
Yoram Cohen, Chairman of Save a Child’s Heart said “The project highlights the beautiful face of Israel and fulfils the words of the profits who said “he who saves one life saves the world entire.”
Dr. Berlowitz said “I am proud to be a partner the most global humanitarian project in Israel, if not the entire world.”
